In the distant future, a man sits down. He writes a song. He learns the craft of shaping tunes and beats. Days turn to weeks, weeks to months. When the time comes, he is ready to release a song. A year has passed, or perhaps longer. Time means nothing. A man has all the time. This is not just any man. This is The Man From The Future.
Cinematic Synthwave by The Man From The Future
"The man from the future" is a one-man music project that combines electronic music, synthwave, experimental music videos, and graphic design. Originally, the idea was to release just one song per year, but that approach has slipped, and the current release pace is around two songs a year. The music features strong 80s influences and synthwave sounds, with synthesizer riffs and melodies taking center stage.The music is created using the Logic Pro DAW. The synth sounds originate from the Serum 2, BA-1, Alchemy, and Trillian plugins. In the short vocal section of the track Behemoth, Yamaha's Vocaloid vocal synthesizer is used, which is an excellent tool for sketching out vocal melodies. The songs are born in a home studio, where they take on their shape and sound. The final mixing and mastering are handled by professional audio engineers. The album covers and music videos are created entirely independently, without any outside help.The lyrics are minimalist, and the vocals have a chant-like nuance. The overarching themes are the passage of time and hopes for better days. The vocals function as just another instrument among the rest, rather than being the main centerpiece. In addition to 80s music, influences include artists such as Justice, Worship, FM-84, and Tame Impala.
